REFLECTO – Cnp Montparnasse

Post Image

Sergio Trapani, supported by G2A Architects, collaborated around CNP’s values to create a hall that reflects its identity. The artwork installation, REFLECTO, is structured around four creative concepts:

  1. Visibility: A logo composed of various high-quality laminated glass panels is prominently placed on the main facade, in the most visible location, covering the largest possible surface.

  2. Trust: The transparency of glass, which is prevalent on both the interior and exterior walls, along with the large doors, signifies an open approach and facilitates access to the building and information.

  3. Security: Security is ensured through two aspects. Firstly, by the use of materials of mineral origin such as glass, stone, and metal, which convey durability. Secondly, a strong geometric design organizes the space in a calm and powerful manner. An almond-shaped entrance consolidates all entry points and ensures a smooth transition with a seven-step staircase and an intermediate landing. A circular hall acts as a pivotal hub connecting various functions (emergency staircases, restaurant, elevators). A rectangular canopy unfurls like a red carpet on the ceiling, guiding visitors from the logo to the reception hall on the second floor.

  4. Dynamism: Different materials change their appearance based on the viewer’s perspective, altering the visitor’s perception of space. A two-tone mesh pattern for the canopy, various sandblasted designs on the double glass walls of the hall, and polished stainless steel for the stair risers contribute to animating and infusing dynamism into the space.

Lastly, the essence of life is symbolized by a brass frieze situated between the layers of glass on the walls. It evokes trees with their silhouettes against the horizon, their trunks reflected in a water mirror in the foreground, representing vitality at the heart of the hall, at the core of CNP’s activities.
